Now that the new semester has begun, I've started my mythology and folklore class. It seems like it's going to be amazing!
I have to deal with an economics course though. Not looking forward to that one.
It has started snowing now. It's quite pretty, in the evening when it's starting to get dark and the snow is falling...

I'm thinking about committing my greatest act of insanity and making a Civil War officer's frock coat (I sense ~myrrion coming up behind me brandishing a pillow to throw at me for that display of geekiness
I pretty much spent all of yesterday on various reenacting supply websites, and determined that this is going to put me into serious debt. So it's probably going to take me forever to get everything I need. The wool itsellf is going to cost at least $100 (I've found it up to $171), and then there's $35 worth of buttons! Not to mention the lining and the pattern. This is what I get for being a nerd who wants to use period materials.
But frock coats are amazing. I've pretty much wanted one since I watched "Gettysburg" years and years ago.
